Have You Ever Seen a Sequoia?

Sequoia Trees are the largest trees on earth by volume and can live to be over 3,000 years old! They only grow on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. This has been the ideal climate until recently due to climate change. Higher temperatures and dryer conditions have extended the fire season, and that could affect the future of giant sequoia trees. The giant sequoia is listed as an endangered species by the IUCN, with fewer than 80,000 trees remaining.
