This year’s award is especially meaningful. In the wake of Hurricane Helene, our region faced widespread damage, downed trees, and dangerous conditions across many neighborhoods. Our team stepped up, responding around the clock to urgent calls for emergency tree work. Even as we faced the loss of essential equipment in the storm, we pressed on, driven by our deep-rooted mission to protect both people and the landscapes of Western North Carolina.
