Did you think you would grow up to be an arborist? If not, what did you think you would become? Explain.
My child self could have never guessed I'd be starting an arborist journey at 31! I grew up thinking I might be a teacher or physical therapist, then earned degrees in Psychology and Higher Education Administration. I saw myself working with low-income/first generation college students or in accessibility services.
Did you grow up with grandparents? What did you learn from them?
Yes. I am grateful to have grown up with a few of my grandparents, including a great grandmother! Collectively, they've taught me how to be a hard-working, kind, and silly human. I've learned a lot by hearing about their life experiences and reflections, which has been invaluable to me.
Do you have pets? What are their names and what are they like?
Yes, I currently have one cat and her name is Peach. She has been my calico sidekick for 10+ years, having lived in various places, with other cats/dogs/people, and in different states. She's goofy, sweet, and obsessed with treats!
